Our Children’s Room is an interactive room full of books and fun! Long-time Children’s librarian Barb Scott is a master of storytimes and kid-friendly crafts. The Children’s collection has a wide array of materials from fun fiction for all ages to educational resources for parents. Scroll down to see a list of all our Children’s Resources. For the 2nd year in a row, Bucyrus Public Library has been selected as 1 of only 74 locations in the US to be an official Children’s Book Council Favorites participating reading location this fall!!
What does this mean? The library will receive close to 600 brand-new books that were published in 2024 for the K-Grade 2 book submissions. These books will be in a special shelving area in the Children’s Room, along with ballots for voting. Voting has already begun & will continue until February 6th, 2025.

Sponsored by the United Way of Crawford County since the beginning Music, Movement, and More has had a 6-year total attendance of over 12,000! Featuring learning, dancing, and music-making, this is an all-time favorite program for our library! Questions or suggestions? Contact Barb! Our winter/sping 10-week session starts January 6th and 8th and ends March 10th and 12th. Children who attend 7 or more sessions will earn an instrument to take home. Our fall/winter Storytime will resume on September 10th and end on December 6th. Storytime will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 11:30 AM.
Join us for Children’s LEGO Club on the first Saturday of every month from 10 AM to 12 PM. LEGOs are provided!
